2009 Summer Dance Clinic

When: Monday, August 24^th – Thursday, August 27^th 2009 from 10:00am – 12:00pm each day. Registration will begin Monday the 24^th at 9:30am

Where: Sam Barlow High School Cafeteria

Who: Dancers in grades K – 8^th who want to learn basic technique skills and both a jazz and a hip hop style routine. Participants will be split into 3 groups based on their grade.

Cost: $40 for those who pre-register, $45 for those who register on the first day of the clinic.

**Dancers should come dressed in athletic pants or shorts and either jazz shoes or sneakers. Jeans are not recommended. Please also bring a water bottle. **

Dance Team Try-outs!

When: Monday and Tuesday, May 11^th and 12^th 2009 from 6:00 – 8:30pm. Actual auditions will be held Thursday, May 14^th starting at 6:00pm in the Holevas Gym.

Where: Cafeteria and Holevas Gym, Sam Barlow High School

You will learn a 1 ½ minute jazz style routine as well as some basic technique skills on Monday and Tuesday. Please come in athletic clothes (no jeans) and be wearing tennis shoes or dance shoes if you have them (not required). We do ask that you bring a copy of your last semester’s grades, as this is a part of your eligibility to be on the team. Also remember to bring plenty of water!

You will audition on Thursday in groups of 3 or 4 at a time assigned to you on Tuesday night. The actual auditions are closed, no spectators are allowed.
